How much Long Distance Running do Professional Soccer Players do for training?

It seems like pro soccer players at the highest level like the World Cup would have to do serious running, but how much do they actually run when it comes to having endurance for the whole game? By miles or by time is what I am looking for. I realize they train for speed as well, but this is asking for the long distance running amounts.
I’m not talking about how much they run in a game by the way, because it would probably be less than they actually train for.

How can i start running again?

4 Months ago I ran as fast as I could..I kept running and my knees felt weak and I fell brusing my hand and knees. I couldnt move my right hand a little. Ive recovered. Everytime I run now, i have a fear of hurting my self and falling face flat. How can I get over that?

Where are the best places to run in NYC? Is it worth it to join a running club?

I am moving to NYC and I want to stay in shape. I know there are many gyms, which am considering but I also like to run (although I am most definitely a beginner). Can anyone tell me where the best and SAFEST places to run are located? Is it good to join a running club and is it appropraite if you are beginner? Any info on this matter will be helpful. Pricing is also important to me since I am not wealthy. THANK YOU!

Is there a good substitute to running 10 miles?

I know running can be a great way to lose weight and get ripped, but is there a good substitute to running 10 miles? For instance, what if I ran five miles, swam a little bit (I’m not a good swimmer, so not very much,) rode my bike for a while, and played basketball? I would do these all within a short period of time. What would be good distances for each sport to get similar results to running 10 miles?

What current running shoe is most like the Nike Huarache made in the '90's with the neoprene interior?

I noticed Nike makes Huarache models currently for other sports, but not for running. This shoe was very lightweight and hugged your foot due to the neoprene interior and I’d like to know across all brands if there is a running shoe currently made with similar attributes. Thanks.

I have always ran a lot and recently moved about half a mile from the beach. I have been running in Brooks the past few years have ran in rain and they have been confortable even when pretty wet. I am wondering if there are any specific shoes that would be better for beach running?

what is the difference between a shox and regular running shoe?

I am planning on getting some new running shoe and came across Nike Shox Turbo 11, which look very nice. I have never ran in a shox shoe. I’ve always ran in regular shoe. I would like to know the difference.

I just want to know..
I’ve been working on my mile for like a couple weeks
My mile first started at 12:08
i stopped running the mile for like a week and did sprints
Yesterday i ran a 10:54 mile. Is that bad or good. like a time for a mile.
and how can i improve it, my endurance and stamina aren’t amazing, but i go to the gym everyday and i have been for awhile./

Is it my imagination or are running backs less important in Pro Fantasy Football this year?

In past years, it seemed like if I could draft decent running backs with my first three picks, and pick up a solid new starter late in the draft, I could alway get a quarterback or recievers later. This year the quarterbacks and receivers seem more dominant. A couple more years like this, and I’ll draft a quarterback with my first round pick, and possibly a receiver in the second or third. How you you see it?
