How can I have more energy when running?

I’m currently running track and when I’m running I’ve discovered that I run out of energy sooner than I should be. It also becomes hard for me to breathe when running. What can I do to have more energy when running. Is there a certain way I should be breathing? Are there certain types of foods I should be eating to have more energy? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean sooner than you should be? As in you could run before, now you can’t? (It may be a sign that you’re overtraining yourself and pushing your body too hard.)
    Anyways.
If you’re sprinting, you should eat simple sugars 15-25 minutes before your race. You should work out on a workout plan that’s good for yourself, too, meaning it will both make you stronger and faster.
If you’re running distance (which sounds more like it), eating is a little bit more important. The night before a race, eating steaks and ice cream will slow you down. You should eat something that you normally eat, but a good standby is pasta. Pasta won’t help you in the race much more than any other normal dinner, but it’s just something that won’t upset your stomach. Morning of the race, eat waffles or something that doesn’t have milk, because milk will slow you down. As for training, just train how you normally would, I guess.
Maybe you have asthma, too, or allergies, because it is turning into spring and a change of seasons is really hard on allergies. You might want to go to your doctor and see if you have either.
