While I run, I seem to be holding my breath. Is breathing while running something I can control?
I play soccer and usually play the wing.

It is very important to breathe. It assists with burning weight. Look up ADP and ATP, it will explain to you better what I mean. When you breathe it activates the process of these cells in your body and these cells assist in burning fat. LOL..Im sorry I am so vague about it. It was explained to me awhile ago and I cant remember. But I do know that ADP and ATP have to do with it

Oxygenating your body helps your muscles perform at their optimum levels. It also keeps your body in balance and helps to maintain appropriate levels of blood circulation. Carbon dioxide is a toxin that we release by exhaling. A buildup of CO2 can have disastrous effects on your health.

At some point, after you’ve held you breath for so long, you’ll recover by almost panting or gasping for air…that’s you’re body trying make up for it’s lack of oxygen and its CO2 buildup.

You can control your breathing by working on focusing on it. Try different breathing tactics to see what works for you. Try breathing "normally." Try exhaling for 3 strides and inhaling for 2. If you’re a sprinter, try taking a breath after your drive phase or as you come out of your transition phase and see where it takes you. Whatever you do, it may seem unnatural at first, you’ll have to give it time before it can become natural.
