How soon before running a mile should I eat an energy bar?

I’m running the mile tomorrow for PE and I need to get it in under 10 minutes. Since I’ll be sitting down for 3 hours beforehand, I’ll need some energy. I bought some energy bars- how soon before running should I eat them?

    I suggest 45 mins to an hour this will give your body enough time to get the nutrition of the bar and giving it enough time so when you run it doesnt upset your stomach. When you run remember to breath in through your noise and out your mouth in a ratio of 3:2 (This means when you take 3 paces inhale with your noise and the next 2 paces exhale out your mouth). Breathing correctly will help you when you run to keep more oxygen to you muscles which will take the nutrition of the bar to your muscles and will help you when you alot when you run. Also if you take vitamins take them around the same time as you eat the energy bar.
