If you don’t have good shoes, your back, knees, and ankles can start to hurt. But as long as you stretch and don’t over do it, the good effects of running definitely outweigh the bad.
Running does not harm your back or other joints.
It can cause back problems because you use your back when you are standing or walking, and the back muscles become much stronger than the abdominal muscles.
Running is good exercise, and does not cause bad backs.
ok that is the most dumbest thing i have ever heard omg seriously EVERYTHING has a positive effect and a negative effect no matter what you do. Tell you step-mom that when she walks it makes her cartilage in her knees break down slowly but its a negative effect who knows mabe she’ll stop walking. lol anyway running does MORE good than bad so run if you want, if you dont you dont have too. running wont hurt your back if you have good posture while you run so good luck
it wont hurt your back. just make sure you have a good pair of shoes. i would recomend a lightweight mesh shoe. also, if you are worried about hurting your back, make sure that you are warming up and stretching properly before you work out. do a cool down and stretch afterwards also. running on a softer surface like grass or a turf track is better on your back. running will actually help with strengthning your core muscles to prevent back problems. i used to get stress fractures from running on the basketball court. it happened 2 seasons in a row, so i picked up xc. it helped with EVERYTHING. endurance, got me in shape, and i havnt had a back problem since i started. there is way more benifits to running then you can think of. its the best thing for you. i can tell you that your step-mom is full of crap.
if you have bad posture when you’re running, then there’s a chance you might hurt your back. the main muscles in running are your hamstrings, calfs, and quads (thigh). so stretch b4 u run!
