What are good workouts for running back explosiveness?

I was wanting to know what are some good workouts for being an explosive running back. Im kind of small and i would like to have more speed and power.

up hill or steps running
sled pulling, that which makes you dig for the next step
Running up and down the stairs of stadiums.
You may get more over all strength from squats than doing leg presses on a machine. Do leg curls on a machine. Also work out your calves with a bar & weights on your shoulders — up & down. They have all kinds of exercise machines in gyms. Any of them would help you gain strength in you legs and lower back. You can strap a ground level pulley cable onto your ankle and move your leg out. That movement mimics a leg when running. Join a gym and watch and learn. Good luck.
Squats and deadlift are exercises that will help with this explosiveness. Another great exercise is the power clean.
