What are some indications that a running shoe does not fit?

I bought a pair of running shoes and the shoes feel tight. The shoe tongue rubs against my toe and it hurts. Do the shoes fit or should I return them?

You have chosen shoes that are not giving your toes enough room. It sounds like you need a wider toe space. I had that problem for years and the depth of the toe area as my big toe would always point upwards.

Clean up the toes the best you can and demand that you be better fitted for shoes. Maybe get a shoe with a better form fitting to correct the positioning of your foot. One with a higher arch to draw up the middle of your foot and lower the toe area.

Dude…its too small. Running shoes of ALL shoes shouldn’t hurt.

The shoes don’t fit. You should return them! If you don’t, you will be in "a whole world of hurt"–literally! Good luck!!!

usally when you walk in them a while to fit your feet you get blisters or you feel cramped after a run/jog

If they hurt, you should exchange them and look for a better fit in the store. Don’t just buy the first pair you see.

Running shoes should NEVER be painful (unless you’ve just completed a marathon, in which case EVERYTHING will be hurting)
    Return them.

Return them! They don’t fit. It shoudn’t rub at all and they should be comfy.
If you keep them they’ll just hurt your feet and put you off running.

    They hurt your feet.

running shoes should be comfortable all the time. The one way you can determine is where your big toe is in the shoe. Press the top of the shoe to see where your big toe is and then if it’s all the way at the very tip then it’s too tight if there’s enough space then it fits just right

usually if its loose it’ll have the same painful efect, your shoes should be breathable for ur feet but not loose! not to tight either, tho tighteness deos create stabability. find ur happy medium

When your at the store try the shoe on and tie them and everything and the stand up on your toes as high as you can, if the shoe comes off your heel even a little…their too big! if their too small you know! haha. BUT!—–>if your gettings running shoes for track, as in spikes sometimes you want them a little tighter depending on what race your running(:
    hope i helped!

good shoes should feel comfortable immediately – no need for a breaking in period
running shoes are lightweight and should be virtually imperceptible on your feet
take them back and try again!

A lot of running shoe brand tell you to size up.Return them asap.

  16. Pre says:

Get a new pair as soon as you can, if you keep the small shoes you will start off with major foot problems and they will ocntinue into shin splints and so on.

  17. big pat says:

Return the shoes, then go to a running specialty store, they can usually size your foot to the perfect shoe.
