What kind of running shoes should I use?

So my knees point inward and I’m hoping to start running again. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good pair of shoes that would work well with my knees. Because of my knees I tend to roll on the outsides of my foot if I don’t pay attention, if that helps any.

    Get fitted at a running specialty store.

    If you’re rolling outward like that it sounds like underpronation, so you’re likely to be looking at neutral cushioned shoes to facilitate correct pronation. Likely something along the lines of the Nike Vomero or Asics Nimbus.

    They should be able to help you more in person though.

    I love underarmor or asix there both really light and durable. but not cheap. though worth the money.

    I usually get Asics, but my last two pair have been New Balance. I tend to roll on the outside too. But only on my right foot. That is call overpronation.

    I had the same problem with my knees. I had severe pains after running then i found the solution. Go to a podiatrist and ask them if orthodontics would be beneficial. I got them and i could immediately see a difference. I was able to run with shoes that offer a lot of support but you would need to go to a running or sports store for shoes. They know best and will fit one to your foot. Good luck!

    make sure theres atleast two fingers (or one if you have big fingers) of cushion in the front of your shoe. If theres not buy shoes that have more cushion or theres less pressure everytime you step when you run. Also, when you get tired during a run, make sure to not "slam" your feet down on the pavement, which puts a lot of pressure on your joints. Make sure you pick your legs up when you get tired.

    I would recommend visiting your local running store (such as Fleet Feet) vs. a athletic store or ordering online.

    A running store will look at your arches and watch your running form. From there, they will determine if and how you pronate. Based on that information, they will have you try on a few shoes that fit into your category.

    You may pay a little more money for shoes in this setting, but you are getting a better shoe and some great advice – both of which will help you have better form and avoid injury.
