cross training in the air force?

I’m still looking for advice about cross training into space exploration in the air force. anyone with some knowledge of this career field, please give me a heads up.

First off you need at last a BS in a hard science- a Masters or Ph.D is preferable.
Then, once you’ve acquired the skills the Air Farce needs- such as pilot training, or advanced engine maintence and testing- you can apply.
Then after all this work that has taken years of accomplishment, you’ll recieve a letter in the mail that says "We regret to inform you we do not have an opening for your skills at this time"
