i want to run cross country for the first time this upcoming year but i want to start training before season so that i’m not horrible. How much should i run each day? should i increase my distance a little everyday or should i just start by running all 6 miles until i can do it ?

also i’m vegeterian and i want to make sure i’m not eating the wrong things. what things should i make sure to keep in my diet and what do i keep out of my diet ?

Get yourself a pair of running shoes and a watch, look at the time and running around the lake, for a lab to see what is your time. The next day do the same again, always write your time down, in the end see if your improved or not. H2O also important after running, I would drink salt water, but not to much salt in it. It helps to keep up the energy.

i would go for a run every morning, early, like 7 so its not to hot. Start by walking the length, then start increasing how far you run. Start a 1 mile, then doing it without walking or stopping if you do it easy then the next morning increase to 2, if it was hard do another 1 mile run etc.
