I have reoccurring stress fractures and although i dont have one right now i would like to cross train a few times a week to prevent future injuries. will and elliptical reduce the streess placed on my shin bones and is a good option for cross training (better than aqua jogging or biking)

The elliptical is by far the best way to get in cardio, and because it has adjustments for resistance levels and inclines, it burns more calories than if you were running at the same pace. It was invented to give the same motion as running but without the strain on your bones like banging with every step on a treadmill. It will definitely reduce the stress placed on your shin bones, and as compared to other forms of cross training, delivers the most results. Bikes target mainly the legs, and aqua jogging does not burn as many calories. Check out the sources for further proof,
