How can I prepare academically for Navy Diver School?

Your probably saying… "Well he should be worried about his physical shape" or something of that matter… My PST was this:
500yd swim = 8:45, Pushups = 100, Situps = 110, Pullups = 14, and I did the 1/5 mile run in 9:30.. I am still training(CrossFit!!!!) to improve and am already signed and classed as a Diver. I don’t leave for 6 months.
I was wondering if any1 knew of any reading material that I should go over. I understand all the basic gas laws.. But in general I just don’t want to stop preparing… Any other information would be great… What I could expect to make coming out of school?(not that important to me though), The daily life and work ethic? How many dives a week? Enjoyment?(I love the water, I live in it!)…. Any answers and info would be great or if some1 could refer me to a Dive motivator or a Former navy diver that would be just peachy…. Thanks a lot in advance and please no crap answers copied and pasted or one line or immature… Intelligent, legit answers from Good personal sources… I have read everything I possibly could online. Thanks again!!!!
I meant 1 1/2 mile run! Sorry

I am not a former ND, I am a current one. I hope that works for you. I’m not sure what you mean about "classed as a diver", because you have to make it through dive school to be a ND. If your PT scores are correct, you should be good to go physically. Google the Navy Dive Manual and study Revision Six. That is the current revision, and it has some changes from Rev. 5. Focus on dive physics, medicine, and charting. When you feel good about those, study the section on the dive rigs- SCUBA, MK21, etc. Your experience as a ND will vary, depending on the command you go to. And, your pay will also vary depending on your command and where it is. You can worry about that stuff if you make it through school. No matter what diving command you go to, you can count on a lot of diving, hard work, world travel, and fun! Good luck!
