What can a teen with bad knees do for fitness?

I really want to start doing more exercise. I’m not overweight, I just want to be more fit. I can’t run because of my knees, or play netball. I did row but that’s in off season at the moment. I go to a private school, and not many of my friends live around my area. What can I do for fitness?

Elliptical machines are terrific. Almost no impact, so the knees are good to go.
Swimming is also very good. Another non-impact move that can be done at any level of intensity.
Shadow boxing is good too.
Also, try to maintain leg workouts like squats, calf raises, lunges…but do so with the assistance of a chair on either side on your arms. That way, you can put as much weight as you want on the arms, keeping your knees from dealing with too much pressure, while still working the legs.
Certain levels of pilates and yoga (minus a few moves) will be good for you too.
Good luck!
walk, swim, ask a personal trainer or ur physical therapist what exerisses are good for a teen with bad knees.
How about cycling? Low impact and can get your heart and adrenaline racing. Also some races around so you can still be competitive.
