Triathlon specific bikes are not affordable. Get the best road bike you can afford. Go to your local bike shops and ask if they have any of last year’s models left over. They will usually discount these bikes significantly to move them out of the shop. Get a bike that fits you well — that’s why you should buy from a local shop. A bike that fits you well is a pleasure. One that doesn’t is torture. Once you have the bike, get a clip-on set of aero bars.
Good luck.

you need the basics first in my opinion. go get a good basic road bike, something you can afford. the majority of your miles are spent training, and you need a comfortable, durable bike to put in the miles. most triathletes are there to finish, to prove they can. they arent there to win. you can always add on a set of areo bars and some better wheels as you get into the sport more, but start with a good basic bike you can train on.
