You can, if you think that sweat in your eyes might be a problem. Keep in mind though, the sweatband may be more hassle than it’s worth. Try running with it before the triathlon to see if it’s comfortable or not. Good luck!

If you have sweat problems, it’s a good idea. If sweat doesn’t normally get in your eyes, you don’t really need to

I am an experienced triathalon runner who run the Boston Marathon 8 times. My first time i wore a sweatband and it gets soaking wet. I found out the goggles are the best to were. It sounds stupid but it works, especially Speedo.

I just did a triathlon, today! Well my answer is, that yes i think it is a good idea that you do, if you dont like sweat and water dripping down your face, because after the swim during the bike your soaking wet, plus your sweating from the heat, and working hard, so sweat and water will drip all down your face, and get in your eyes, and by time the run, your really sweating because you have been working out really hard, and at water stops during the run, normally people poor the water on their head, too cool off, and that will get in your eyes too. My suggestion is too put the head band next to your shoes so after the swim when you go and grab your bike and put on your shoes you can just slip the headband on. Also its a good idea to wear sun glasses during the bike and run, because ecspecially during the bike, the sun shines right at you.
Hope this helps, and good luck with your race.

if you sweat a lot its a good idea. if you don’t it’s just an extra item you need to put on in transition so there is little point.

yes as long as it doesn’t get in the way, for that reason I wear a good quality running hat, it absorbs the sweat and uses it to cool your entire hear and it won’t go anywhere either as an added bonus it keeps the sun out of your eyes and keeps the glare down, make sure your hat has black on at least the bottom of the brim and even an all black hat is ok becuase they breathe so well, try it out

  7. I think a hat will be better than a headband.  Blocks the sun, stops the sweat, and relaxes your neck as you run.
