Usually bike for an hour to an hour and half one day during the week. Have not gone for a bike ride for two weeks. Last week raked leaves up to four hours so counted that towards cross training. Was going today, but opted not to because have a long run tomorrow. Would I loose any of the benefits of cross training after 2 weeks? Thanks for the response.

I have this discussion with a buddy about doing a non swimming half ironman distance triathlon. It would have of course a 56 mile bike ride, 13.1 run but start off with a flat water kakak, instead of the 1.2 mile swim. What would be an equivalent distance to that swim? Has anybody done a tri with a canoe or kakak leg?

I usually have a very fast swim, and decent bike ride, but I don’t ever have the energy to continue at my normal 18:30 5k after wards… Any tips?
I’m only fifteen, so I am not doing any more than 55 miles per week, because of a cramped schedule.
