What exercises help your running endurance?

I’m a beginner at cross country so i cover at least a couple of miles a day, but i’m having trouble building my endurance, and I feel extremely uncomfortable when I run. What is the correct form for running? Also, are there any type of workouts or diet plans that i could do alongside my running to help strengthen the appropriate muscles?

I am a high school sophomore and last year i went to state in Cross country (running)…but this year i have tried to train and diet like i have been told, even maxed out weight ive never been able to, but the problem is–my mile times are exceptionally slower and its about to get me kicked off the varsity team…any advise in diet plans, training, sleeping patterns etc. to help me out??

So throughout the summer, I had been working really hard for cross country. I ran everyday, and it seemed like I was getting better. But a couple of weeks ago, I went on vacation for a week and didn’t run at all because I was busy. After I got back and started running again, I was a lot slower and I’ve been feeling pretty bad on most runs, with cramps and soreness and stuff. Was all of my work before vacation wasted, or will I get back to where I was before my vacation?
Cross training ideas for shin splints?

I’ve been running cross country since the beginning of July and last week I got shin splints but have been running up until yesterday because that’s when they became to hard to run with. I’ve read that you have to rest, ice, massage, and cross train. Can you please give some ideas for cross training? I have to go back to practice in 5 days and need to make sure I’m not a complete mess when it starts up again. Thanks!
Also, about how long do you think it will take for them to heal? I’ve only had them for a week and they are not too bad where I can’t run at all. Again thank you.

I’m a girl in 7th grade and for cross country we have to run anywhere from 1.2 – 1.8 miles. I’m going to run everyday starting today. Cross Country starts in August. Will running 2.4 miles a day be good enough? Or should I run 3 miles? Also do I have to take breaks or can I run every single day? Thanks!!

okay so i need a training program for cross country next year but i don’t know what to do right now. I need to get into shape so that i can run faster and my goal is going to be 17:00 for 3 miles. right now i run a 20:30 but want to improve way more. does anyone have any idea of what type of schedule that i’m suppose to maintain in order to get better in my time?

I was just wandering like if i should run so much a day and i should be on a certain diet i play basketball in the fall and softball in the spring and summer is for cross country so its like i am not completely out of shape i would just like to know like how many miles i should be able to run and stuff.
I need some GOOD tips on running/jogging that could help me out with cross country and training!?
