I have been running for about a year now at a rate of 5-10 miles a day. And my cross country season is starting in about 2 months I am wondering what further steps I could take to improve my endurance and speed so I can reach my goals this season?

It has been a long time since I have actually just ran/jogged. Last night it was hard to keep pace. I am larger breasted too which adds to it. I did wear double bras over my tank.
But what can I do in simple things to gain endurance of running? What do runners usually eat?

Im going to finish my track season from spokane community college. Im going to lift and do cross country running in the summer to work my endurance. My coaches dont want me doing any sprints. Just distance running.What certain workout can i do that involves the whole cross country deal and so i can work my endurance for next upcoming season in the fall. I am a 400m runner.

I have good endurance and can easily do a 10 mile run, and can run reasonably fast too, a 17:00 5k. I’m doing speed workouts twice a week, but what kind of endurance running should I be doing if my focus is the mile? 3-4 mile runs at high intensity, or 6 at medium? 10 miles at slow to medium 3 days a week? I’m thinking 3-4 miles at higher intensity, but I want to see what you guys have to say. Thanks.

I am 17 and I am very out of shape. I can barley run for three minutes straight with out my lungs feeling like they are on fire. How do I gain endurance? Should I start out by running for as long as I can than increase the time by like 3 minutes each week? How long do you have to run and how many days do you have to run to get benefits from it like weight loss and feeling more healthy?
