Should I race the Xterra off-ride MTB triathlon in road cycling clip on shoes or my running shoes?

I completed my first road triathlon last week on a road bike with shimano SPD clip ins. I am competing in the Hawaii Xterra mountain Men Tri this weekend and I can’t afford new MTB clip in shoes. Should I use my road clip ins or my running shoes with regular pedals?

Lavaman Triathlon 2010

Lavaman triathlon 2010 music video. This video has edited footage the Lavaman triathlon 2010. There are video clips of all the competitors that made it to the awards stage. The clips show the triathlon results of all the top five. The triathlon results can be viewed on the Lavaman website. The Lavaman triathlon 2010 was a sprint triathlon! This race was a quarter Ironman triathlon and can be finished in an hour and some change. The Lavaman would be a great beginner triathlon. This triathlon distances is 1.5k swim 40k bike and 10k run. After a person can finish this race they could work there way up to the Ironman triathlon distance. This was a great race and we would all like to thank Lavaman triathlon 2010 for all the hard work. A special thank to all the volunteers!!!
