What would be a good running routine to lose weight?

How many laps should I run a day and how many days a week should I run? I’m really trying to lose my gut and I know that running works out the entire body as well as build some muscle. But I’m not sure how I should go about it. I don’t anna run too much or too little. But just enough each day to keep and maintain a steady schedule so that over time I can see a difference. Any suggestions?

Swimming for cross country training?

My coach told me to run 15-30 minutes during the summer for cross country training…but I want to do something besides just running (like swimming). How much would I have to swim to excercise my legs as much as running and what should I do while swimming? I don’t have a very large pool and it is oddly shaped so laps would not be very helpful. Thank you.

When i run my legs get sore like i have been running up stairs, but when i stop running it goes away?

I play soccer, but i dont notice it during games. And it’s not sore after i run just while i am running. I get it when do laps. It never happened to before because in the beginning when i started running, i just ran out of breath, and then i didnt run out breath and my legs were fine, now my legs kill. WHat’s wrong with them?

How can I increase speed in my swim for indoor triathlon?

I’m doing an indoor triathlon next year. My swimming really sucks. Basically, the way it works is everyone has 10 minutes to swim as many laps as they can.

How can I improve my lap speed with the freestyle stroke? Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated — from breathing suggestions to flip turns to technique tips.

How soon should I start running every day?

I recently started running for the first time in a few years on this past saturday the 23rd, ran a few laps then walked a few, next time 2 days later i ran 3 and walked a few, tonight i ran a mile straight and walked a few. Should i just jump right into running a mile every day or to avoid injury should I wait a while, and just keep running every other day?

Ok i have to run the mile for school but i get tired not my legs but my lungs what can i do to help my lungs. Also any other tips for running are helpful. we have to run 3 laps for 1 mile so yea. And i have 1 week to get ready for it more like 4 days but what can i do to train. im not in the best shape nor the worst im just avg.

i am 13 and i am planning to join my school track team which starts in about 2 weeks. i have nevr done a lot of running before and am wondering what some good training/practices ae that i could do??? also what are some medium distance i could run during the track seson, iam not interasted in hurrdles or lond distance . .are there any good relays i could particapate in?? or 2 laps on the track???
