What is the best way to lacing method for running shoes?

I just bought a new pair of running shoes – Nike Shox 7 if it makes a difference. I would like to know how to properly lace the shoes for running purposes.

What are the best running shoes for really wide feet?

I have a very wide foot and am having trouble finding a really good running shoe that doesn’t pinch or make my foot go numb. I have tried Nike Shox and New Balance, and neither one work for me.

What type of running shoes would you recommend for a heavy person?

I pronate, and the guy at the runner store said that I need stability running shoes. I am also 6’4 220 with a low arch and big feet. What say you? Do i need stability or motion control. My current shoes are Nike Shox and they make my feet hurt very quickly.
