Raw Food Diet – The Best Weight Loss Program For Over Weight American
January 24, 2010
You may already heard that raw food diet helps you to lose weight in conventional and nutritional supplements perspectives. Today, you are introduced to another view point – how you can get rid of your weight once and for all.
Although Traditional Chinese medicine has never endorsed raw food in their treatment of diseases, because raw food is yin pathogen and yin in nature and some of them also are considered containing dampness, which is one the many causes of diseases, including arthritis.
Since most overweight America are considered eating too much fried and greasy food, refined, products and artificial ingredient, etc., these types of foods are considered hot, damp and excessive yang in nature. They heat up the stomach and speed up digestion, thereby inducing hunger. If you are youth and exercise, the excessive energy can be removed from you body through sweat, urinary excretion, etc. Unfortunately, many over weight people are lack of exercises, leading to fat accumulated in the body organs and tissues.
Traditional Chinese medicine views overweight is a problem of Spleen deficiency, due to the stomach inability to digest the food properly and the accumulation of turbid can not secret properly caused by over heating stomach as a result intake of hot, damp and yang food.
When food enters the stomach, it is divided to 2 parts. The food qi is absorbed by the Spleen immediately, the other part- food material is digested and divides into fluid essences and turbid. Fluid essences once again are absorbed by the Spleen and the turbid are secreted through the bladder and large intestine. Over intake of hot, excessive yang, hot and damp foods for a prolonged period of time causes the abnormal function and Spleen in qi and fluid distribution and transformation, resulting in extra energy and dampness building up in the body, leading to heat cooking up the dampness into phlegm (fat) that deposit as fat into the body organs and tissues.
Raw food diet is yin pathogen and cool in nature (Be sure to avoid raw food with high amount of dampness), as it enters the stomach, it reduces the heat in the stomach that slowdowns the digestive process and curves appetite, thus giving the Spleen time to eliminate the extra energy and fluid slowly, resulting in restoring the Spleen function in fluid and qi distribution. The process may take a while, but it works. If the accumulated dampness is gone, slowly all phlegms will be secreted through bladder and large intestine and you finally achieve your weight loss once and for all and return to the range of normal weight according BMI index.
Remember as soon as your weight return to normal, it is the best time to reduce the intake of raw food and replace some of them with cook food due to its yin pathogen and cool in nature in order to prevent the opposite effects.

Triathlon Training Program

Training program is largely dependent on the character of the person undergoing it. The type will be dictated by the experiences the trainee has had, the level of performance he gives and can give, the body physique and a number of others.
It will definitely start with a comprehensive plan that will focus on your strength and weakness to develop both of them, one to avoidance and the other to ways that will maximize it.
A good plan is never good enough if it cannot even start. You have to visit first your physician to know the general applications you might do with your body. The adjustments in diet, habits and lifestyles and the extent of use you can endure.
Once a check-up is done, the next best thing you can do is to seek the intervention of a professional trainer (if you are planning to take triathlon a lifestyle). If you' re not, you can always become a weekend warrior and train whenever it pleases you.
Train on your weak sports and give your best shots on your forte. Training must be gradual and so you must expect a gradual change. No winners won because they sacrificed overnight. In fact, the best triathlon athletes train years before they achieve the Iron Man title. It is always that way, there are no quick fixes to achievements.
Training on any of the fields is recommended to be performed by joining a crowd. This practice won't only help you gather helpful tips and first hand information but will also adapt you to the similar environment during the race.
The equipments need not always be top of the line. The technology used in developing them will surely help you gain your advantages yet these don't always tell it all. Often, everything lies on your skills and the products of your hard works as produced from your training program.
When off training, making situations like those that resemble your training periods would prove to be good extensions of your training momentum. This will help optimize your race-like attitude. You may also practice transitions and brick training in here to create an environment for your body to get used to.
A training program does not only include training for the race itself. It also integrates plans after the competition. Usually, this involves recovery period that should be planned systematically since most competitors receive muscle injuries due to rigid training and harsh experiences during the competition

How to Choose a Home Fitness Program

Everyone can benefit from exercise and good nutrition. Most women know that the right combination of exercise and nutrition can result in fat loss, increased muscle strength and improved energy. Regardless of at what age a woman becomes physically active and aware of good nutrition, the rewards of a comprehensive fitness program are tremendous and extremely beneficial. Once you decide that you actually wish to change to a healthier lifestyle, a fitness program can be a great way to get into shape. With so many options available, how do you decide which fitness program is best for you?
Exercise equipment can be costly and take up a lot of space, especially when it goes unused. A gym or fitness center membership can be expensive and inconvenient; most women are busy enough without taking the time to travel to a health club. Luckily, there is no better place than in the privacy of your own home for reaching your fitness goals.
With so many options and varieties of home fitness videos, books, and exercise equipment, the problem arises of how to choose the right home fitness program. You do not want to spend thousands of dollars on some fitness gadget that will gather dust or make a new clothes hanger. Exercise videos can be boring. And with a woman’s busy schedule, who has the time or energy to read all of those books?
Exercising at home is perfect because it can easily fit into your schedule and your budget. Anyone considering an exercise program should contact her physician to be sure the fitness program is compatible with her health. In addition, it is important to include these essential components for an effective fitness program: strength training, flexibility, cardiovascular training, and balance.
Strength training can increase muscle strength, coordination, and metabolic rate. This type of exercise uses free weights or resistance bands to help target and tone your muscles. Strength training has also been shown to improve bone health and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Flexibility training or stretching exercises can increase the physical performance of your body and general health. This component of a complete fitness program is often overlooked. Flexibility training can help to reduce your risk of injury, improve your posture, and even reduce post exercise muscle soreness.
Cardiovascular exercise is integral for healthier heart and lungs. Although some place more emphasis on weight training for muscle development, it is important to remember that the heart is a muscle too and needs to be conditioned through regular aerobic activity.
Balance is crucial to our bodies, and becomes more important as we age. As we become older, our balance can become compromised. Improving coordination and balance through exercise can prevent falls and allow our bodies to function more efficiently.
Although it is a great start to having more energy and improving the quality of your life, a good exercise program alone is not enough to complete your change to a healthier lifestyle. We have all heard the adage, “you are what you eat.” Every woman needs to be aware of food and nutrition, key factors to be incorporated with comprehensive exercises for a complete fitness program. Do not eliminate food groups from your diet, rather become aware of healthy eating and good nutrition to complement your exercises.
There is a program that will have you fit, healthy, and bursting with energy. A unique home fitness program designed especially for women is available. Sisters in Sneakers includes all of the essential components of a complete home fitness program for exercises and nutrition.

A Guide On Setting And Creating A Running Training Program

Runner Training
Training is an important aspect of being a runner. Whether you are a beginner and you are looking to increase your stamina or you've been running for a while and want to run faster or train for an event such as a marathon, training is something that is an essential part of the sport.
There is an art to choosing a good training program. The program you choose will depend on your goals and your needs. Here is some advice that will help you find a runner training program that will work for you.
Decide on Your Goals
The first step to choosing a runner training program is to decide on your goals. If you are a beginner, your training program will look a lot different than someone who is running their third marathon.
Sometimes a goal will be personal such as a desire to run five miles without stopping to rest. Other times a goal will be focused on an event such as running a 10K or a marathon. And often, people will run to help them lose weight or to build up their overall state of health.
Once you decide on your goals, write them down and put them in places where you can see them often. Turn the goal statements into affirmations and recite them a few times each day. For example, if you want to use running to help you lose ten pounds, your affirmation could be: "Running is helping me lose ten pounds."
Choose a Program
Based on your list of goals, you are ready to choose or develop a runner training program that will work for you. If you need help, consult with someone who has more experience than you.
For example, if your goal is to run a marathon, you will want to choose a training schedule that will help you run a successful race. But, there are so many programs out there that it can be difficult choosing the one that is right for you. A beginning marathon runner will not follow the same program as someone who is racing in their fifth marathon.
In general, look for a runner training program that is a little challenging but not out of your reach. You don't want to get discouraged and then give up.
Stick With It
You can spend a lot of time setting goals and fining a training program, but if you don't stick with it, your efforts will not mean anything. Everyone has different ways of finding their motivation. Once you find what motivates you, sticking with your training plan will get much easier.
It takes a while to establish a routine. Before a routine is in place, you may feel disorganized or unmotivated. Give yourself a few weeks to establish a good routine before you start getting discouraged. Often, the routine will make you more motivated.

Choosing A Triathlon Training Program

The question "where should I start my triathlon training program?" should be your first question you should ask yourself. And since this question is your starting point if you want to become a triathlete, it is at the same time most difficult to answer. To somehow guide you on your decision making here are the things you should know:
Like learning a skill, you should know what particular point you are presently in. Are you a beginner? Have you already been doing some of the disciplines in the triathlon? Where is your weak point? Do you know how to swim? Do you know how to bike? Where are your strengths? Have you been doing all these and would only want to have a structured training? Have you just got up from your couch and manage to realize that you want to run, swim, and bike?
All these questions and many other questions related to identifying where to start your triathlon training program should be considered. This would let you identify where to start.
Where to start should coincide your goal and your purpose why you need to train. The truth is, there are hundreds of ways and variations of training you can adapt. If you were unable to identify your goal, you will probably fail.
Set your goal, both short term and long term. In this way you know the limits of your training. If you have no plans of joining the Ironman, then skip the idea of running, swimming, and biking 6 days a week. You will only strain yourself and would eventually lead you to losing interest. If you were only making your entry to the 3 disciplines, then it would not be healthy if you start strong. Move gradually until you reach your goal.
Another reason why you should not start strong if you are only a beginner is the risk of injury. You simply cannot do couch-to-5k in one day.
If in case you have been training for some time and would like to enter triathlon, you can start from where you are at present. Improve your skill from there but remember, you have to have a goal to follow and achieve.
Whether you are a beginner or have been training for triathlon for some time, one thing remains the same: you must have a goal to follow. And this would give you the idea what type of triathlon training program you should choose.
