Sheila Taormina is an Olympic athlete who has competed at 4 Olympics (1996-2008). She is the only woman to compete in 3 different Olympic sports (swimming, triathlon and modern pentathlon). At the 1996 Olympics, she earned a gold medal as a member of the USA’s winning women’s 4×200 meter freestyle relay team and is a triathlon world champion.

This is a summary video of Julie and Lowell’s triathlons on July 9th 2006 in Edmonton Alberta. Julie ran her first Triathlon (Sprint) and Lowell did his first Olympic distance triathlon. Julie got 3rd in her age group and Lowell got 11th. ** CORRECTION: Julie’s age group is 20-29 NOT 20-24. And she was only 2:30 away from being #1 in all Sprint women.

The course, which consists of a 1500-meter swim in the Hudson River, a 40-kilometer bike ride along the West Side Highway, and a 10K run in Central Park — is designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of athletes, including amateurs, people with disabilities and world-class triathletes.

The Forestman is an iron distance triathlon taking place in the New Forest, Hampshire, UK. The event isn’t an ‘Ironman’ race but is considered by many to be a tougher challenge than the UK leg of the branded series, largely because of its off road run. This programme is in five parts & profiles the 2009 event which saw a record time n the men’s competition. Part one followed the start & swim through to transition, part 2 followed the first lap of the bike course, while in this part we see the ride leg concluded through to T2.
