How do you make running on a treadmill less boring?

I really need to do this to stay in shape because I can’t swim or dance and if I go out and run I tend to stop frequently since nothing is pushing me to run like the treadmill. So any suggestions on making running on a treadmill more funner or at least less boring.
Does running with ankle weights on a treadmill help build speed?

I’m trying to get in shape for soccer season this coming fall for college and i also wanted to improve my speed. However since it’s summer and the heat is too extreme, i was wondering if running on a treadmill will have the same effect as running on regular turf such as grass?
Also, how long should i run on the treadmill with the weights in order to help build speed faster?
Any help, tips or hints will be greatly appreciated!

I have been running on a treadmill for a long time and love it and feel great. The other day I ran in a park and today my legs are very sore like I have never run before in my life. Do I need to run outside more?

I have been running on a treadmill and an extremely close to 2 miles a pop.

I just want to lose a few pounds, and I’m gonna start running, on a treadmill, then after a few weeks, I’ll start on trails and other places and time my self. Is this any good?
