This is my first year in marching band, and i’m looking for a pair of sneakers to buy to use during rehearsals and parades. Would cross trainers be appropriate for this? If not, what do you recommend? Thanks in advance!

How can I have more energy when running?

I’m currently running track and when I’m running I’ve discovered that I run out of energy sooner than I should be. It also becomes hard for me to breathe when running. What can I do to have more energy when running. Is there a certain way I should be breathing? Are there certain types of foods I should be eating to have more energy? Thanks in advance.

Have you ever participated in a triathlon?

What’s the breakdown of a triathlon again? You run X miles, swim X mile(s), and bike for X miles…

Anyway, have you ever been in one before? What was it like? My friend just entered a local triathlon and came in 3rd in her bracket. I’m happy for her! :)

How long in advance would you have to prepare for one? Share with me your story, if you have one. :D Thanks in advance!

I've started training for a cross country race in November which consists of 11 miles, is Isotonic for me?

I run approx. 2 – 3 miles every day or so and have only started. I hear the arguments for staying hydrated and to replace lost salts/vitamins etc… but then I hear the argument that I’m not an elite athlete and I’d just be wasting my money for something that I don’t need.

Can anyone add their personal expertise/knowledge on this please?

Thanks in advance.

I mainly lift weights (3-4 days/wk) and run occasionally, so would cross-trainers work best for me rather than, for example, running shoes? I’m asking b/c I’ve had my eye on a nice pair of Nike cross-trainers. Thanks in advance!

What is the American Red Cross lifeguard training program like?

I live in Minnesota, Twin Cities, and I was wondering how difficult the program is? How long does this training take and is this training accepted out of state(California or Florida)?I am seventeen years old and I want to get a job that will allow me to help people and at the same time be proud of what I do. I swim all the time in the summer months and I feel I am good at it. Do you have to be an amazing swimmer to be a lifeguard? You don’t have to answer all of the questions and thanks in advance.
