does that mean i can start a career then train into something different later on? Because i want to be an aerial gunner, but i dont think thats a good position to have with a wife and a family. So is it possible to begin my career as an aerial gunner, then if I get a family i can train out of it into like Loadmaster or something more family-oriented

I haven’t enlisted yet but I have my top five career choices already picked out; still photography, public affairs, mental health services, loadmaster and radio and television. I realize that I’ll probably get loadmaster because the other four have few slots open, but would I be able to cross train for any of the others? I have my AA in Radio & Television as well as nearly six years of photography experience, would that affect my chances of getting the other careers listed?

Affects of Cross-training on distance running?

I’m a female college distance runner (18:30 5K) who wants to switch to triathlons as soon as my collegiate eligibility is done. I’ve done a couple sprint triathlons already and want to do more this summer, but my coach is very hesitant to let me cross train much. I will be running about 55 miles a week this summer and would love to add in or replace runs with a couple 30-40 mile bike rides – has anyone seen negative affects in running by adding biking? Or positive?
Thanks so much!
* a couple of 30-40 mile bike rides each week (maybe a few longer ones (70-100 miles) over the course of the whole summer)

I play defensive tackle, but I would like to do something to cross train next season. I refuse to take lacrosse, soccer, or basketball. End of story. Do you think Muay Thai would be good?
Also I picked Muay Thai for INTENSE training. I’m not afraid to go 3 hours of heavy workouts. Please don’t suggest family kickboxing at the Y.
