This workout (clip 2 of 3) utilizes the Vasa Ergometer, hand weights, a power wheel and a resistance band. This workout is perfect if you are short on time (taking only 8-10 minutes) or if want to incorporate some upper-body strength work into your session. The world of athletics is changing with new hi-tech equipment like power meters and the Vasa Ergometer. Athletes can monitor their training and train more effectively than training in the pool alone. The Vasa Ergometer allows athletes to train anywhere, anytime without having to get in the water. Athletes can train more specifically, indoors, on their own schedule and may be able to get a more effective workout than swimming in the water alone. Athletes can measure average watts, force, stroke length, stroke rate, pace per 100 meters, time and distance. Benefits include daily training, fine tuning technique, performance testing, injury prevention, rehabilitation. Develop power and strength more effectively than you can in the water.
