  2. JRF77 says:

are u disabled or are u actually genuinly proud of this

  4. pcfxer says:

Some people have big muscles but aren’t that strong. 20% technique, 30% strength, 50% mentality.

  5. UC15 says:

Whoever’s coaching these folks needs to get his butt in gear and learn how to properly teach the lifts.

First order of business: everybody wear shoes! Unbelievably stupid: going barefoot in a gym under any conditions, trying to do Olympic lifts barefoot!

  6. kettlebellconvert says:

some people have absolute strength but no explosive strength. maybe you can squat 400 pounds, slowly. but you cant push even 200 fast enough to get it over your head

  7. pcfxer says:

You got it sir ;) . Obviousl with kettlebell in your name, true efficiency is met when muscles are “small” and strong but fast as well.

I like to prove people wrong with Bruce Lee info. Works most of the time.

  8. conwict7 says:

BS, if you can standing press 185×5 you would be able to push jerk 275+ EASY.

The people in this video do need a lot more coaching…I actually think they are focusing TOO much on coaching cues and not on what the bar is doing. The jerk is fundamentally about being faster than the bar and gravity. And since all objects fall at the same rate, the most important thing is how high you get the bar, how fast you get under it, and how well you catch it.

PS There’s nothing wrong with being barefoot

  9. conwict7 says:

Wow, if that muscular black guy had more technique he could have done so much better. He actually performed an eccentric when he missed his 195×1 attempt!

  10. conwict7 says:

These folks need to be taught to stay on their heels in the first dip/drive, stay tight, and get their hips under the bar more…

  11. griffithafrank says:

arent you suppose to rack it on your shoulders?

  12. Narkcop says:

I agree that the recent trend to NOT wear shoes when lifting is a dumb move. I do crossfit and the trend is away from shoes for power lifts, BIG MISTAKE I think.
