Walt Disney World Marathon 2009, my first! Hope this helps all newcomers to get an inside look as I wanted before I ran it. Congratulations to all who finished this year! Your video is very inspirational to new runners! I started running about 3 months ago and I am up to 8.2 miles in 1hr 40min 32sec. I am hoping to run my first half-marathon by September 09 and who knows, maybe run a full marathon by January 2010?

That was awesome!! Thanks so much for giving me an inside look. My husband and I are doing are first marathon in January 2010 at DisneyWorld!!! (with the princess 1/2 to followin in March!) Your little penguin walk at the end was very telling!! I’m sure you were hurting but you must have been proud!

Good luck! You can do it! I actually ran this marathon with only running up to 9miles because I was injured for the 2 months before. So it’s totally possible!

Unfortunately I can’t.. too expensive and I need to focus on my senior year of college. I can’t wait to do it again in the future though!
Yes, I was in a lot of pain after! Prior to the marathon I was injured from November till about 2 weeks before the race, so my training was 9 miles.

Don’t be scared! especially because your first race will be Disney, it will be fun and very enjoyable… and most importantly distracting from pain and exhaustion!

Now I am hooked on marathons after completing one on October 4th, 2009, now I am off to this marathon and once again running for CTF!!!
Tonight (10/24/09) is Disney’s Tower of Terror 13K race. This video should be viewed by all that will eventually take a crack at doing a marathon because it truly inspirational!
