…and you will run slower in water, faster in a tailwind, harder in the summer, colder in the winter….blah blah blah

Great advice and great form to use when running.

Whatever you do DON’T heel strike when you run. On top of just being bad form and a brake every time you land landing with your heel will force you to run in a position that is too upright even bordering on leaning back.

Go outside barefoot and take off running. How do you land? Do you heel strike? HELL NO because it’s not natural feeling and it would hurt like hell. I guarantee you will run on the balls of your feet or more likely use a mid-foot strike.

    Do the same with shoes.

Hmmm, don’t know about the logic. Not a fan of his heel strike. Any credible running coach will recommend a mid foot strike. Check out some of the pose running tips or even barefoot running stuff. A lot more natural and efficent

i would rather run like napoliean dynamite than this clown lol

High knee lift? Push off hard with toes? Heel striking? This isn’t perfect form, its just the form that most people with expensive running shoes use. You are likely to eventually get injured running like this.

You should try to strike with the midfoot and keep short strides with a high cadence.

  15. phyrad says:

Probably midfoot running is not suitable for every distance and all terrains, but what he demonstrates in the video is appropriate for hardly any distances or terrain.

this guy is crazy when you run you shold BE RELAXED IN ALL MUSCLES and ofcourse the muscles you are using will not be relaxed but if you see him running he is rigid in the back its not good at all….

  25. skattlady says:

I usually don’t post, but this is the second video I have seen by this gentleman, and both times I have thought “use your arms.” :0( I agree, he looks rigid and stiff intead of relaxed.
