thats so kool! i want to go and visit england! yea, sure anytime!
i just finished my sophemore year and run in the 51s. i need to drop under 50 to make my relay team though
14-15 years old
ouch! that is going to be difficult! i wish you the best of luck!
get really strong and you’ll run 48′s easy
MacTown…I ran the 440 in the 70′s in high school and didn’t break 50 seconds until I could run a sub-26 second 220, while dead tired. We would run 220′s under 26 seconds, jogging a 220 in between, and so on, every day until 6 successful 220′s. Good luck!
lol 800 is definately harder than the 400…
i do both, the 400 is wayyy harder
800 are slower lol. lower lactic acid
i got 76sec in 400m and i am only 13
wow I ran 49.0 and i never thought about any of this. I would just strait up sprint the whole thing and train for endurance, and 200 meters for speed. this is a little helpful. im 18
College or high school?
I ran 49s in high school and the most effective that i found was keep starting sprint until around 150m then settle in for the turn. With about 150 left, push up and get on the guys heels in front and pull out of the turn a little wide to pass but still stay right on their shoulder. Never failed me as i passed the person in front of me in every race. Ill post vids soon.
If you have endurance 400m is really strong for you. I noticed I noticed that there are kids who can run 12 second flat 100m (grade
but lose to the kids that run 13.50 sec+ 100ms. Why? They have endurance which makes them average their speed out more better. The guy that I said that did 12 sec flat 100m did a 56.63 second 400m and the 13.50 guy did a 55.63 second. I can only do 58 second BUT I GOT TILL THE END OF THE YEAR TO IMPROVE =D. 400m is not hard, working hard is hard.
in 8 grade i got 53.2. I hold the New fairfield country 400 meter record. Im a freshman now and there’s a kid on the team whose a freshman that runs a 100meter in 10.32
@11tobiobito yeaaa no, i go to the junior olympics and the national record no where nere that
we are freshman in high school now. the school said we were the fastest they have seen. lol. im not cocky though.
im a sophmore in highschoool & im a girl i run a 60.0 in my 400m..n i no how hard it is to do the 400m dash ..this is mostly a mental race u have to b a smart runner n prepare urself for it or u won’t reach your goal in doin well in this race..
