for those who think she is wrong:
    Article from runner´s world:
    (Literal translation)
Make your running steps longer: Maybe cruadriceps are the most important muscles involved in running. They are located in the front of your thights and are in charge of give power and strenght to every step:they push the rest of your body forward and avoid you from falling down.Want to have a longer and more powerful running step?then start working out your cuadriceps. This same exercise follows afterwards.

Yeah this is a Bulgarian split squat, also really good for relieving tension and tightness around the quadricep and hip flexors which is a main contributor to most running injuries…Maintain erect posture while doing this and try not to lean forward…

whatever your technique, relax and smile while on camera. exercise is fun!

  12. commodoreNZ says:

That’s an over generalization. The quads are the largest single muscle group in the body, but neglecting the hamstrings and calves will leave you too inflexible to stretch out on straights and down hills…

Thanks for the post I found this exercise works your glute max whilst stretching your hip flexors on the opposing leg wondrously and its benefited me greatly

get it right, hick. it’s a bulgarian split squat.

  25. dhilbert83 says:

Shray, I do these with dumbbells (I use these as a squat assistant). It’s a pain to keep balance sometimes, but these weighted will murder your hamstrings/glutes.
